The Zamalek team succeeded in winning the Egypt Cup title after overcoming Pyramids in the penalty shootout with a score of 8-7, after the regular time and extra time ended in a 1-1 draw in the final match of the tournament held today, Thursday.
Ahmed Atef scored the goal for Pyramids in the 30th minute, while Nasser Mansi equalized for Zamalek in the 79th minute.
Pyramids qualified for the final match after defeating Al Ahly Bank in the semi-finals of the tournament, while Zamalek qualified after overcoming Ceramica Cleopatra.
Zamalek had finished the Egyptian Premier League in third place with 47 points.
