The Qatar national team achieved an important victory against their rival, the Iran national team, with a score of 1-0 in the match held at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, as part of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

The first and only goal of the match for Qatar was scored by player Pedro Miguel in the 41st minute.

Meanwhile, the Iran national team failed to score any goals during the match, despite their attempts on the Qatari goal on several occasions.

Milad Mohammadi, a player from the Iran national team, received a red card in the 35th minute, leaving his team to continue the match with only 10 players.

With this victory, the Qatar national team raised its points to 13, placing them fourth in the standings of Group A of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, while the Iran national team's points remained at 20 at the top of the group, securing their qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
