The reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported via his official account on the platform 'X' that Manchester City is nearing the completion of a deal to sign Algerian star Ait Nouri during the summer transfer window, coming from Wolverhampton.

Romano indicated that the two clubs have reached a preliminary agreement of around 40 million euros, and Ait Nouri is expected to undergo medical examinations with Manchester City on Saturday, in preparation for his official joining of the team.

Manchester City's interest in Ait Nouri is part of Spanish coach Pep Guardiola's plan to strengthen the squad ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which includes Juventus, Wydad Casablanca, and Al Ain in its group.

During the 2024/2025 season, Ait Nouri participated in 37 matches with Wolverhampton in the Premier League, scoring 4 goals and providing 7 assists, reflecting his impactful role in his former team's lineup.
