Newcastle United has officially announced the signing of young Spanish winger Antonio Cordero, a player for the Spain U19 national team, coming from Malaga. He will join the team starting July 1, following the expiration of his contract with the Spanish club.

Cordero is 18 years old and has played 60 matches with Malaga's first team, scoring 7 goals and providing 9 assists, contributing to the team's survival in the sixteenth position in the Spanish second division last season after being promoted from the third division.

Cordero expressed his great happiness about the move to Newcastle, stating: "It is a real honor to be here, and I am very much looking forward to starting. I am someone who always strives for the best, and why not join one of the best places in the world to achieve that?".

For his part, Newcastle's sporting director, Paul Mitchell, expressed his satisfaction with completing the deal, saying: "Antonio is an extremely exciting talent, and we are happy to have him join us despite strong competition from several Spanish and European clubs."
