Palhinha Opens Door for Departure from Bayern Munich
João Palhinha, the star midfielder of Bayern Munich and the Portuguese national team, has opened the door for his departure from the Bavarian giant this summer if he is not part of coach Vincent Kompany's plans for the upcoming season.
Palhinha stated in press remarks: "My contract with Bayern Munich is still valid for three years, but I need to talk to the coach and the sporting director about my chances here. If I don't have a chance, we'll see what happens."
He added: "My dream is to succeed at Bayern Munich. My arrival at Bayern was very difficult. Nothing in life is easy, and I am proud to have reached here. There is no need for sadness. I have won a title with Bayern Munich, and I hope to achieve more. I will always fight - no matter what the future holds."
The Portuguese star has been unable to secure a starting position with the Bavarian club since joining the team from Fulham.
