Nigerian Legend Criticizes Osimhen Over Al Hilal
Wednesday 04-06-2025
Former Nigerian star John Obi Mikel made a provocative statement warning his compatriot Victor Osimhen against taking the step to move to the Saudi Roshan League in the near future, considering that it is still too early for this decision.

After a remarkable season with Turkish club Galatasaray, Osimhen managed to score 37 goals in 41 matches, making him the center of attention for many major clubs, most notably Saudi Al Hilal, which is seeking to sign him before the Club World Cup.

In statements reported by the Nigerian newspaper "Daily Post", Mikel expressed his discontent with the idea of Osimhen moving to Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that the young striker still has a lot to offer in European football, and that leaving now would be a wrong step.

The former Chelsea star continued, saying: "I would prefer him to join a big club in Europe, such as Manchester United or Arsenal, or perhaps Paris Saint-Germain or Juventus," emphasizing that this step would be more suitable for his current talent.

All eyes are now on the decision Osimhen will make during the summer transfer window, between staying in the old continent and continuing to shine in major tournaments, or moving to the Middle East and embarking on a new experience in the Saudi league.
