Sky Sports reported that Manchester United has taken its first steps to sign Cameroonian winger Bryan Mbeumo, a player from Brentford, with initial communication between the two clubs having taken place, although formal negotiations have not yet begun.

According to the report, Brentford is open to selling the 25-year-old player, but values him at over £60 million, amid increasing interest from several clubs.

Mbeumo has been on Manchester United's radar for some time, and it is believed that he aligns with the ideas of coach Ruben Amorim, especially after indications reached the club's management that the player is interested in moving to Old Trafford.

Recently, Manchester United completed the signing of Brazilian Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton for £62.5 million.
