Reports confirmed that Banajah has already begun laying the groundwork for his management team, preparing to submit his nomination papers as soon as the official submission period opens, in a move that underscores his serious desire to lead the club.

It is scheduled that the presidency of Khaled Al-Ghamdi, the current president of the club, will end at the end of June, after he spent two years in the position during which he delivered a remarkable administrative performance.

Al-Ghamdi took over the leadership of the club on July 4, 2024, after being elected unopposed, and during his presidency, he achieved a historic accomplishment by winning the Elite AFC Champions League title.
