Press sources confirmed the failure of Al-Ahly club officials to reach any agreement with Ceramica Cleopatra to acquire the services of Mohamed Shokry during the ongoing summer transfer period.

According to the sources, Al-Ahly's management decided to postpone the Mohamed Shokry deal until after the Club World Cup due to Ceramica's excessive financial demands for releasing the player.

The sources added that Ceramica's management requested a large sum of money along with some additional benefits, which caused the deal to stall, despite Al-Ahly's desire to include the player in the Club World Cup roster.

Reports emphasized that Al-Ahly's management will reopen negotiations with Ceramica Cleopatra after the continental tournament in order to contract with the player.
