In the Footsteps of Bruno.. Theo Shocks Al-Hilal and Rejects Their Offer
Tuesday 03-06-2025
In a stunning surprise, French player Theo Hernandez has rejected the move to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, despite a massive financial offer amounting to 18 million euros per year, which is four times his current salary with AC Milan.

Although AC Milan's management agreed to Al-Hilal's offer, which reached 30 million euros plus bonuses, the player reconsidered his decision after a long night of deep reflection on his football future.

Sources from the Italian newspaper 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' revealed that Theo's decision was not solely driven by money, but was influenced by personal factors, most notably his family ties after becoming a father for the second time at a sensitive moment.

The time pressure also played an additional role, as only a few days remained before the closure of the exceptional registration period allowed by FIFA for clubs participating in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Despite Theo's contract with Milan extending until June 2026, negotiations for a contract renewal have stalled, raising the prospect of a sale this summer to avoid losing him for free next season.

Atletico Madrid, the club where Hernandez grew up, is considered one of the potential European options that could bring the player back if he decides to leave Milan during the upcoming summer transfer window.
