Spanish media reports have revealed a surprise regarding the future of Argentine Diego Simeone, the head coach of Atletico Madrid, amid strong interest from Italian club Inter Milan to sign him in the upcoming period.

Simeone took over as head coach of Atletico Madrid in September 2011, coming from Racing Club in Argentina, and achieved significant success with the team. However, he ended the current season without any titles, which has opened the door for speculation about his future, despite him confirming on several occasions his desire to continue with the Rojiblancos.

According to the Spanish newspaper "AS," Inter Milan is considering signing Simeone, in anticipation of the departure of their current coach Simone Inzaghi, who is under significant interest from Saudi club Al-Hilal.

The newspaper added that Inter's management will hold a meeting with Inzaghi in the coming hours to determine his future, and if he leaves, Simeone will be considered the ideal choice to succeed him, especially given his emotional connection to the club he previously played for, along with his good understanding of the Italian atmosphere and his ability to communicate with the fans.

Diego Simeone still has two seasons remaining on his contract with Atletico Madrid, which officially ends on June 30, 2027.
