Romano mentioned on his official account on X platform that Chelsea is working to secure the French goalkeeper as soon as possible.
The source added that Maignan's contract expires in the summer of 2026, and he has not renewed his contract with the Italian club as of now.
The French goalkeeper had agreed to renew his contract with Milan for a salary of 5 million euros per year, before the Italian club froze negotiations with the goalkeeper, which angered him.
