Tuesday 03-06-2025
The Saudi Union Club firmly responded to the increasing rumors about its intention to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, confirming that there are no plans to acquire him during the new season 2025-2026.

Ronaldo's contract with Al-Nassr ends on June 30, amidst significant uncertainty about his next destination, which includes Saudi and European offers or the possibility of renewing his current contract.

In fiery statements during the "Ya Masaa Al-Anwar" program, Riad Al-Mazhar, the official spokesperson for the Union, stated: "As long as we have the moon Benzema, why search for stars?" referring to their star Karim Benzema.

Al-Mazhar emphasized that the Union trusts Benzema's capabilities, pointing to his crucial role in achieving the domestic double this season, and confirming that the club focuses on continuity rather than sudden changes.

Benzema led his team to win the league and cup titles, contributing 34 goals during the season, scoring 25 goals and assisting 9 in 33 matches, affirming his status as an unparalleled star within the squad.

Al-Mazhar concluded his statements by affirming that the Union aspires to replicate past achievements, most notably winning the AFC Champions League and participating in the FIFA Club World Cup, relying on a cohesive squad of current stars.
