
Officially.. Lazio announces the return of Sarri
The Italian club Lazio announced, in an official statement, through its website, the return of coach Maurizio Sarri to lead the team, succeeding coach Marco Baroni, who recently left his position.
The club stated: "Lazio is pleased to announce the return of Maurizio Sarri as the head coach of the first team."
It added: "After the experience that began in 2021, the coach returns to wear the white and blue colors, which is called for by an unbroken link with the environment, with the fans, and with a team that was able under his leadership to express ideas, play, and belong."
It further stated: "Lazio has entrusted Sarri with the technical reins of the project, believing that his style, stability, and work culture represent solid foundations for building an ambitious present and a future worthy of Lazio's history."
Club president Claudio Lotito said: "Maurizio Sarri has returned home. His return is the fruit of heart, conviction, and insight. With him, we want to resume a journey that was cut short early, aware that together we can regain enthusiasm, identity, and ambition. Welcome back to your home, leader."
