Platense achieved a historic milestone by winning the Argentine league title for the first time in its history, following a 1-0 victory over Huracán in the final match of the league.

The only goal of the match was scored by player Guido Mainero in the 63rd minute, leading his team to glory after 78 years of participation in the competition without winning the title.

Despite qualifying for the final stage of the league in sixth place, Platense had an extraordinary run, overcoming Racing, then River Plate, before eliminating San Lorenzo in the semifinals, culminating in the championship against Huracán.

With this title, Platense officially secured its place in the 2026 Copa Libertadores, becoming the first Argentine team to qualify for the continental tournament in the upcoming edition.
