Mitchell Candidate for the Sports Director Position at Al-Hilal
Paul Mitchell, the sports director at Newcastle United, has become a candidate to take on the role of sports director at Saudi Al-Hilal for the upcoming sports season.
It is worth noting that Newcastle United announced Mitchell's departure from his position at the end of his contract on June 30, after he took on the role last July following the departure of the former sports director, Dan Ashworth.
According to press sources, Mitchell has entered a shortlist of three candidates for the sports director position at Al-Hilal, but the club may delay any appointment until a head coach is contracted first.
On its part, Al-Hilal is looking to sign Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, from Inter Milan, to lead the team in its first match in the FIFA Club World Cup against Real Madrid on June 18.
