Baroni Requests to Leave Lazio Coaching
Angelo Fabiani, the sports director of the Italian club Lazio, confirmed that coach Marco Baroni decided to leave the team for personal reasons, noting that the club's sports project will continue despite the absence from European competitions.
Fabiani stated in his remarks: "Baroni made the decision to leave for personal reasons."
He added: "Nevertheless, the team had a good season and was close to qualifying for the Champions League until the last rounds, but we lost some points at home."
Fabiani emphasized that the club will not dismantle the current team, saying: "Our project continues, and we will continue to work with a group of young players and some stars who will not leave; rather, we will rebuild the team."
Baroni had taken over the coaching of Lazio for one season after coming from Hellas Verona, following a season that saw three coaches take charge of the team: Maurizio Sarri, Giovanni Martusciello, and Igor Tudor.
According to what was mentioned by the website "Football Italia," Maurizio Sarri, who has not managed any team since leaving Lazio, may return to take over the coaching role again.
