Real Madrid has reached an agreement with English club Liverpool to acquire Trent Alexander-Arnold, the star of the Reds.
The club stated in a statement on its official website: "We have reached an agreement with Liverpool that stipulates Arnold will stay with us for the next 6 seasons, starting from June 2025 until the summer of 2031."
The Merengues confirmed that the player will participate in the Club World Cup, which kicks off next June in the United States.
The statement noted: "The 26-year-old English international will join our team after winning 9 titles with Liverpool."
The Athletic and ESPN reported that Real Madrid will pay 10 million euros to Liverpool to acquire Arnold before the Club World Cup.
Arnold's contract with Liverpool expires on June 30.
