Al-Ahly Appoints Rivero as New Coach
The Al-Ahly club announced yesterday, Thursday, its contract with the Spanish José Rivero to take over the coaching of the team for a two-year contract, succeeding the dismissed Swiss Marcel Koller.
It is worth mentioning that the Al-Ahly management decided in April to dismiss the Swiss Marcel Koller from coaching the team after exiting the semi-finals of the African Champions League at the hands of South Africa's Sundowns.
Imad Nasr was appointed as the interim coach until a foreign coach is contracted following the departure of Marcel Koller.
Rivero's staff will include Carlos Nodar as an assistant coach, Miguel Bibier as a fitness coach, Juan Jose as a goalkeeping coach, and Sebastian Budziadly as a performance analyst, in addition to the continuation of Imad Nasr as the general coach of the team.
