
Asian Football Confederation Announces New Criteria for the 2025 Best Player Award
Journalist Badr Al-Abid revealed that the Technical Committee of the Asian Football Confederation has set new conditions for candidates for the 2025 Best Player in Asia award.
The Technical Committee requires that nominees be players participating in the most prominent Asian leagues, in addition to their involvement with their national teams and the AFC Champions League.
Similar conditions have been established for the Best International Player in Asia award, where players must belong to strong leagues and play with their national teams.
The Asian Football Confederation has adopted a points system to evaluate the winners of various category awards, including youth and junior awards, to ensure transparency in the evaluation.
Additionally, the Technical Committee has approved reference criteria for expert committee members to ensure that winners are selected based on objective and precise technical standards.
