Officially.. Real Madrid announces the signing of Alonso

Real Madrid Club officially announced today, Sunday, that it has signed Spanish coach Xabi Alonso to take over the team's coaching following Carlo Ancelotti.

The club said: "Real Madrid announces that Xabi Alonso will be the head coach of the team for the next three seasons, from June 1, 2025, to June 30, 2028."

It added: "Xabi Alonso began his coaching career at the Real Madrid youth academy, where he managed the under-14 team during the 2018-2019 season, winning the league and the Champions League."

It continued: "He now returns to Real Madrid as one of the best coaches in the world, having made history with Bayer Leverkusen, winning the league, the cup, and the German Super Cup in three seasons."

It concluded: "Tomorrow, Monday, May 26, at 12:30 PM, Xabi Alonso will be presented as the new coach of Real Madrid in a ceremony that will take place in the city of Real Madrid."

It added: "Earlier, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez will receive Xabi Alonso to attend the official signing ceremony that binds our new coach to the club for the next three seasons."
