Sunday 25-05-2025
Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano announced via his official account on the social media platform "X" that Bayer Leverkusen has reached a final agreement with Dutch coach Erik ten Hag to take over the team's management.

According to the details published by Romano, Ten Hag will sign a two-year contract extending until June 2027, with the official signing set for next Monday.

Ten Hag preferred Leverkusen's offer despite receiving an offer from his former club Ajax, and he will succeed Spanish coach Xabi Alonso after his departure at the end of the season.

It is worth noting that the current head coach of Leverkusen, Xabi Alonso, will leave at the end of the season to take over the management of Spanish club Real Madrid.
