The Police Club proved its superiority in the postponed round of the Iraqi Stars League, after delivering an impressive attacking performance against its host Duhok, achieving a valuable victory with a score of 3-1 in the match held at Duhok Stadium, continuing its positive results and climbing to the top of the standings alone.

The start of the match was ideal for the police, as the team did not wait long to open the scoring, which came through Abdulmajid Bobker, who rose high and converted a well-placed corner kick into the net with a powerful header in the 12th minute, putting the police in the lead.

The green dominance continued throughout the match, as the team maintained its high pressure and varied its attacks, culminating in Mahmoud Al-Mawas showcasing his brilliance with a stunning goal that came in an extravagant manner in the 27th minute, after receiving the ball inside the area and flicking it with his heel, announcing the second goal for the police.

The same scenario repeated itself again from set pieces, as the third goal came from another corner kick that the team exploited in the best way, leading to a new header from Moroccan defender Ayoub Mouden, finding the net in the 42nd minute, ending the first half with a deserved three-goal lead for the guests.

In the second half, Duhok tried to recover and gradually return to the atmosphere of the match, but it faced organized defensive organization and clear brilliance from the police goalkeeper. Despite this, Duhok was awarded a penalty in the 95th minute, from which Peter Georges scored a goal to reduce the deficit, but it was not enough to change the result.

With this victory, the police raised its tally to 77 points at the top of the standings, surpassing Al-Zawraa, while Duhok remained at 51 points in seventh place, with several postponed matches remaining for them.

This victory confirms that the police is determined this season to move strongly towards the title, while Duhok continues to seek stability after a phase of technical decline and administrative pressures.
