According to the "Daily Mail," Bayer Leverkusen is closely monitoring the player's situation but is waiting for Chelsea's decision regarding the purchase option available in the loan contract, which is valued at £23 million. If the London club refuses to activate the clause, they will have to pay a £5 million penalty to Manchester United.

If Sancho returns to the Red Devils, Leverkusen will attempt to sign him, taking advantage of his previous success in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund.

Despite the German club's interest, German reports have indicated a potential obstacle to completing the deal, which is the identity of the new coach for the team, with Ten Hag being the leading candidate to coach Leverkusen following Xabi Alonso.
