Italian media reports on Saturday morning indicated that Napoli is close to finalizing the deal to sign Manchester City and Belgium national team star Kevin De Bruyne on a free transfer, following the team's fourth Serie A title in its history.

Napoli secured the Serie A title after defeating Cagliari 2-0, finishing just one point ahead of Inter Milan, who won against Como by the same score.

According to 'Football Italia', De Bruyne has tentatively agreed to move to Napoli after his contract with Manchester City expires next June, ending a 10-year career during which he won 6 titles in the Premier League and the Champions League.

Napoli has offered the player a two-year contract with a substantial salary, although it is less than the 12 million euros he currently earns annually with City. Napoli faces competition from the American club Chicago Fire, which has made a higher financial offer but lacks the advantage of participating in the Champions League.
