Napoli has been crowned the Italian league champion after defeating their counterpart Cagliari 2-0 in the final round of the competition, today Friday, at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Napoli took the lead through Scott McTominay in the 41st minute after a cross from the right side that he converted with a stunning shot into the net from inside the penalty area.
In the 51st minute, Romelu Lukaku scored a second goal for Napoli, after a ball reached him, and he drove it into the penalty area and shot it into the net.
Napoli raised its tally to 82 points at the top, one point ahead of Inter, while Cagliari remained at 36 points in fourteenth place.
This title is Napoli's fourth in the history of the Italian league.
