The agent of Spanish coach Andoni Iraola, who is currently with Bournemouth in the English Premier League, responded to rumors about his nomination to coach Saudi Al-Hilal following Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus.

Media reports indicated that Iraola received an offer to coach Al-Hilal for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

Spanish agent Josep Barandiaran clarified that he received numerous calls from clubs in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere interested in signing Iraola, but they were declined because the coach is happy in the English league and is not considering any changes regarding his future.

He also pointed out that Iraola has a release clause to break his contract with Bournemouth valued at £9 million, and there is no intention to activate it anytime soon.

It is worth noting that the Spanish coach entered the coaching world in 2018 after retiring, starting with AEK in Cyprus, then returning to his home country to lead Mirandés, and from there he moved to Rayo Vallecano in the summer of 2020.

Iraola took over the coaching position at Bournemouth in mid-2023 with a two-year contract before extending it for an additional year.
