Reports have confirmed that Croatian Luka Modric, the legend of Real Madrid, has become a target for clubs in the Saudi and American leagues after officially ending his journey with the royal club this summer.

Modric announced via social media today, Thursday, his departure from Real Madrid and that he will play his last match at the Santiago Bernabeu next Saturday against Real Sociedad.

Sources revealed that Modric has offers from the Saudi Roshen League and the American league, and it is expected that next season will be his last in the fields.

The sources also indicated that Modric wants to be able to participate in the 2026 World Cup, as he aims to retire wearing the Croatian national team's jersey.

Modric stated in his farewell statement: "The time has come... a time I never wished for, but such is football, and everything in life has a beginning and an end. On Saturday, I will play my last match at Santiago Bernabeu."
