Match Referee for Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad in La Liga
Thursday 22-05-2025
The Andalusian referee Milero Lopez will conclude his refereeing career by officiating the top match of the last round of the Spanish league between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad, scheduled to take place at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, as part of the 2024/2025 season.

Milero Lopez is a familiar face for Real Sociedad fans, having officiated 33 matches for the team since his time in the second division, during which the team achieved 17 wins, 8 draws, and 8 losses. The team has an unbeaten streak of 12 matches under his supervision, with the last loss dating back to the 2019/2020 season against Leganes with a score of 2/1.

During this season, Milero has officiated three matches for Real Sociedad, two in the league against Las Palmas and Espanyol, and one in the Copa del Rey against Osasuna, all of which ended without a loss for the Basque team.

This match will be the third that Milero officiates between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad, all at the Bernabeu, with the first match in the 2016/2017 season ending in a 3/0 victory for Real Madrid, and the second in the 2022/2023 season ending in a goalless draw 0/0.

Milero Lopez is set to blow the whistle for the final time after 11 seasons in the top division, becoming the second referee to conclude his career in front of Real Sociedad after Del Cerro Grande last season.
