Tottenham Hotspur crowned the Europa League title after defeating Manchester United with a single goal in the final held at San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao.

The first half of the match was a back-and-forth battle between the two teams, with Manchester United having the upper hand in ball possession and creating chances. Diallo nearly scored the opening goal with a shot from inside the penalty area, but it missed the target.

Both teams continued to attempt to score, especially Manchester United, but without any real danger, until Tottenham scored the opening goal after a cross that deflected off Luke Shaw and found the net, with the goal credited to Bernal Johnson in the 42nd minute.

In the second half, Manchester United almost equalized in the 67th minute with a header, but a Tottenham defender cleared it just in time. Garnacho then took a low shot that was brilliantly saved by the goalkeeper.

United had another chance to equalize after a cross from the right that Bruno headed just past the post. Tottenham's goalkeeper saved his team from a certain goal after a header from Luke Shaw in the 90+6 minute, leading to Tottenham's victory.

This championship is Tottenham's first in 17 years.
