Ronaldo on the Radar of Wydad Casablanca Before the Club World Cup
Wednesday 21-05-2025
In a surprising turn of events, the Spanish newspaper "Marca" revealed that Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca is planning a bold attempt to sign Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, the striker of Al Nassr Saudi, in the near future in preparation for his participation in the Club World Cup scheduled to kick off in mid-June in the United States.

The newspaper clarified that the Moroccan club aims to benefit from Ronaldo's massive name on both sporting and fan levels, especially since the tournament is being held for the first time with the participation of 32 teams, amid global interest in the participation of historic stars in the most prominent football event for clubs.

The Spanish newspaper mentioned that Ronaldo is going through a tough period in the Saudi league, as his team Al Nassr is suffering from a decline in performance and results, in addition to the fact that the player himself has not shown his usual level, which has raised speculations about his future with the team.

Sources indicate that the Portuguese star has requested a restructuring within his club Al Nassr, and if there is no response, the option of leaving will be closer than ever, especially as his current contract is nearing its end, amid hesitation from the management regarding renewing it.

With slim chances of winning the Saudi league title, the opportunities for Ronaldo to transfer to another team participating in the Club World Cup have increased, whether it be Wydad Casablanca or Al Ahly Saudi, which recently won the AFC Champions League title, in a move that could write a new chapter in the career of the star.
