Gnabry Approaches Return to Germany National Team
German media reports have revealed that the head coach of the German national team, Julian Nagelsmann, intends to call up winger Serge Gnabry, a Bayern Munich player, to the squad participating in the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League, scheduled to take place in Germany from June 4 to 8.
According to reports from 'Bild' and 'Sky Sport', Gnabry will return to the national team after being absent since last November, as he was excluded from the quarter-final matches against Italy in March due to his fluctuating performance with his team.
The German national team will face their Portuguese counterparts in the semi-finals, while the other match will feature Spain and France.
'Bild' also noted that striker Niclas Füllkrug is on track to return to the squad, benefiting from the absence of Tim Kleindienst, the Borussia Dortmund Monchengladbach striker, as Füllkrug has been out of the national team since September 2024 due to injury.
