Ahmed Hassan, the former Zamalek star, revealed that Al Ahly has refused to let Marwan Attia leave the team after he received an offer from one of the Qatari clubs.
Ahmed Hassan said on Facebook: "Exclusive.. Marwan Attia received an attractive Qatari offer, but Al Ahly refused to let the player go as he is considered one of the key players and promised him financial compensation through advertising campaigns."
Al Ahly is close to securing the league title this season as they lead the league table with 55 points, two points ahead of Pyramids, who are in second place.
Al Ahly will face Farco on Wednesday, May 28, in the eighth round of the decisive phase of the Premier League.
