Monday 19-05-2025
In the 34th round of the Iraqi Stars League, at the Al-Shaab International Stadium, the Air Force team delivered one of its best performances this season, crushing its guest Duhok with a clean four in a remarkable offensive display, restoring some of the blue team's prestige despite the difficult circumstances it is going through this season.

The match began with great enthusiasm from the home team, and the Air Force did not wait long to open the scoring through Issam Al-Sabhi in the 6th minute, following a coordinated attack that ended with a decisive pass inside the penalty area, which Al-Sabhi confidently converted into Duhok's net.

The first half ended with the Air Force leading by one goal, but the real explosion began in the second half, where the Liberian professional William Jebor increased the score with the second goal in the 46th minute, taking advantage of a clever through ball that put him face to face with the goalkeeper, easily placing the ball in the net.

Just eight minutes later, the Air Force was awarded a penalty kick after a clear foul inside the box, which was successfully executed by captain Saad Abdul Amir, announcing the third goal in the 54th minute, widening the gap between the two teams and showcasing the Air Force's tactical and mental superiority.

The Cameroonian star Miskou Olmo completed the goal festival with a stunning fourth goal in the 75th minute, after a remarkable run and a dribble inside the area, followed by a precise shot into the far corner, demonstrating the player's technical value.

On the other hand, Duhok did not appear as expected, especially in light of the absence of its coach Masoud Miral, who recently left the team, affecting the organization and discipline on the field. Despite the northern team having several postponed matches, losing in this manner may raise questions about the team's ability to withstand in the upcoming rounds.

With this victory, the Air Force raised its tally to 56 points in fifth place, trying to narrow the gap with the leading teams, while Duhok remained in seventh place with 51 points, with several postponed matches that could rearrange its position later.
