Air Force Faces a Tough Blow Before the Match Against Duhok
Monday 19-05-2025
At a critical time in the Iraqi Stars League, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya club has received a painful blow with the absence of their outstanding striker, Mohammed Jawad, in the upcoming match against Duhok, which is part of the thirty-fourth round of the competition, taking place this evening at Al-Shaab International Stadium.

The exceptional scorer will not be able to join the team for today's match. His complete absence was also noted in yesterday's training after he submitted a leave request to the team management, which confirmed his final exclusion from the considerations of the coaching staff led by coach Ali Abdul Jabbar for this match.

This absence comes in light of the remarkable performance that Mohammed Jawad has been showcasing recently, as he has become one of the top strikers in the league this season, successfully scoring goals in the last five consecutive matches, culminating this brilliance with a stunning hat-trick against Karbala in the last round, where he was undoubtedly the star of the match.

Mohammed Jawad's absence complicates Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya's offensive calculations, especially given the fluctuating performance of some substitutes and the lack of a direct replacement with the same decisiveness inside the penalty area. The coach will need to think of alternative solutions, either by deploying one of the wingers as a false striker or giving opportunities to younger, less experienced players.

It is worth mentioning that the match against Duhok cannot afford to lose points, especially since the team is struggling this season and occupies the fifth position with 53 points, while Duhok is performing excellently and stands in seventh place with 51 points, having more than four postponed matches, making them a tough opponent in the calculations.
