Cancellation of Relegation in the Egyptian League
Sunday 18-05-2025
The Egyptian Clubs Association held its meeting today, Sunday, with the presence of club presidents and representatives. The clubs in the Egyptian Premier League unanimously agreed to cancel relegation for the current season.

The meeting witnessed a preliminary vote resulting in 10 clubs agreeing to cancel relegation, while 5 clubs abstained from voting, which are: Enppi, Zed, Ceramica, Pharco, and Petrojet, while 3 clubs were absent from attendance, namely: Zamalek, Pyramids, and Haras El Hodood.

The decision to cancel relegation came in response to the demands of several teams struggling at the bottom of the standings, which felt that the pressures of the local and international agendas and the exceptional circumstances this season negatively impacted the principle of competitive fairness.

The Clubs Association also announced that the league competition for the current season 2024-2025 will officially end on May 31, confirming the start of preparations for a new, more stable system for the upcoming season.
