Sporting Lisbon has been crowned the Portuguese League champions for the 2024/2025 season, after a valuable victory over Vitoria Guimarães with two goals to none, in the final round of the competition.

Pedro Gonçalves scored the opening goal in the 55th minute, before Victor Gyökeres added the second goal, officially securing the title for Sporting, raising their points tally to 82 at the top of the standings.

This crowning comes after fierce competition that lasted until the final round with their traditional rivals Benfica, who drew with Sporting Braga 1-1, finishing the season in second place with 80 points.

Thus, Sporting Lisbon is crowned the Portuguese League champions for the 21st time in its history, after an exceptional season in which it succeeded in outperforming its strongest competitors.
