Lawyer Ayman Al-Rifai made provocative statements regarding the ongoing legal dispute between Al-Nassr and Al-Wahda, expecting that the upcoming decision from the relevant authorities will be shocking to many.

Al-Rifai launched sharp criticisms against the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Football Association, asserting that their handling of the case was not objective, and noted that Al-Nassr's position appears strong from a legal standpoint.

Al-Rifai clarified that the reason for the match's postponement was not due to Al-Nassr, but rather a decision by the Competitions Committee with the referee's approval, which means – in his opinion – that Al-Nassr did not violate any official procedure.

He strongly criticized the Disciplinary Committee's refusal to consider the case without presenting it to the Appeals Committee, describing this as obstinacy and contempt for the judicial committees, pointing out that the normal procedure should have required referral rather than rejection.

Al-Wahda had filed an official protest against Al-Nassr after the postponement of their match in Round 22 of the Roshan League for an hour due to the late arrival of Al-Wahda's bus, demanding to be awarded the points for the match which ended in a 2-0 loss.
