Lamine Yamal Refuses to Compare Himself to Messi
Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has rejected comparisons between himself and Argentine star Lionel Messi, the player for Inter Miami and former Barcelona legend.
Yamal stated in press remarks: "I will never compare myself to Messi, he is the best player of all time."
He added: "I want to be myself, and I want my own story. I want to have my own identity, consistency in my performance, and my own style of play; I don’t want to be like anyone else."
The global press has started comparing Yamal to the legend Messi, due to the young player's performances with the Catalan team at just 17 years old.
Yamal has contributed this season to his team winning the Spanish Super Cup, the Copa del Rey, and La Liga.
