The Appeals Committee of the Egyptian Football Association announced the final decision regarding the crisis of the summit match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek, which was scheduled to take place last March.

Al-Ahly refused to play the match due to the appointment of Egyptian referees to officiate the game and the failure to bring in foreign referees.

The Appeals Committee announced in an official statement its support for the previous decision of the Egyptian Clubs Association, considering Al-Ahly to be defeated and bearing all the financial details related to the match, without deducting any points from the team by the end of the current season.

The committee also decided to reject Al-Ahly's request to replay the match against Zamalek.
