The Spanish club Real Madrid is making official moves to sign Álvaro Carerras from the Portuguese club Benfica.

The report indicated that the buyout clause in the contract of the 22-year-old Spanish left-back is 50 million euros, and therefore Real Madrid wants to negotiate with Benfica to lower this amount.
It is worth noting that Carerras, a former Manchester United player, has a contract with Benfica until 2029.
