Officially: Monaco Announces Signing of Eric Dier

The French club Monaco has officially announced the signing of English international defender Eric Dier from German Bayern Munich, in a free transfer after the end of his contract with the Bavarian giant.

The club clarified in an official statement that Dier, who is 31 years old, will join the team starting from July 1, 2025, with a contract extending until the summer of 2028.

Last season, Dier excelled while wearing the Bayern Munich jersey, participating in 27 matches across various competitions, including 20 matches in the Bundesliga, 6 matches in the UEFA Champions League, and one match in the DFB-Pokal, and he succeeded in winning his first title in his career by claiming the Bundesliga championship.

Dier has an illustrious career, having defended the colors of Tottenham Hotspur for 10 years between 2014 and 2024, participating in 365 matches, and being a key element in the defense line, contributing to the team's reaching the UEFA Champions League final in 2019, in addition to twice reaching the English League Cup final.

On the international level, Dier has played 49 international matches with the England national team, scoring 3 goals, and participated in major tournaments including Euro 2016 and the World Cups in 2018 and 2022.

With his move to the French league, Eric Dier opens a new chapter in his career, seeking new challenges with Monaco after prominent experiences in England and Germany.
