Bologna achieved a stunning surprise and was crowned the Coppa Italia 2025 champion after defeating AC Milan 1-0 in the final match held at the Olimpico Stadium in the Italian capital, Rome, on Wednesday evening.

Star Dan Ndoye scored the only goal of the match in the 53rd minute after a brilliant pass inside the penalty area, which he skillfully exploited and placed the ball in the net of goalkeeper Mike Maignan, granting Bologna a long-awaited historic title.

With this victory, Bologna clinches the Coppa Italia title for the first time since 1974, thus ending more than fifty years of absence from the podium, and this title is the third in the club's history in the cup competition.

On the other hand, AC Milan failed to secure their first title in the Coppa Italia since 2003, despite dominating large periods of the match, but Bologna's defense and high tactical organization prevented the Rossoneri from scoring any goals.
