Al Ahly Suspends Foreign Defender Signing
Media personality Khaled Al-Ghandour confirmed that Al Ahly will not sign a foreign defender during the current period.
Al-Ghandour continued through his program "Stadium Al-Mihr" saying, "Al Ahly had contacted Zinedine Belaili, the defender from Sint-Truiden in Belgium, but as we have confirmed to you, there was no contact with his club at that time, and until now, there has been no communication."
He added: "Al Ahly has suspended the idea until the arrival of the new head coach, especially since there are many recommendations from the scouting team for signing defenders from the Egyptian league."
He concluded: "A number of names have been recommended, including Amr Al-Jazzar from Ghazl El Mahalla, Hadi Riyad from Petrojet, and Yassin Marai from Pharco, in addition to considering signing Omar Fayad from Fenerbahçe in Turkey."
