Press sources have confirmed the intention of the management of Saudi club Al-Nassr to part ways with Emmerick Laporte, the team's defender, during the upcoming summer transfer window, despite being under contract until 2026.

According to the press sources, the Spanish defender has entered into advanced discussions with Olympique Marseille to move to the French league and leave Al-Nassr next season.

It is worth noting that Laporte reached an agreement with Al-Nassr to mutually terminate his contract and leave this summer, following a clash with Italian coach Stefano Pioli and being excluded from his plans.

According to the sources, Marseille's qualification for the Champions League next season would serve as a strong incentive for Emmerick Laporte, who won the Champions League with the Citizens in 2023.
