Mohammed Jawad's Hat-trick Leads Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya to Overcome Karbala with a 4-1 Victory
Tuesday 13-05-2025
Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya has restored its prestige and proved that it still possesses the technical character that qualifies it to compete for top positions, after it showered its host, Karbala Club, with four goals to one, in the match held at Karbala International Stadium, as part of the third round of the Iraqi Stars League.

Al-Jawiya, which entered the match with high morale, despite all the administrative turmoil and coaching changes it has experienced this season, appeared today in a different light under the leadership of coach Ali Abdul Jabbar, as the team imposed its control over the course of the match from the very first moments and delivered one of its best performances in the league.

The match started early with striker Mohammed Jawad opening the scoring in the 6th minute, after an organized attack and a smart run behind the defenders, which he finished with a precise shot that found the back of the net, announcing the start of his individual brilliance that night.

In the second half, the aerial pressure continued, and Mohammed Jawad once again caught the attention with a second goal in the 72nd minute, after a clear breakaway and high concentration in finishing the ball. He did not stop there; he returned to score his third personal goal, completing a hat-trick in the 80th minute.

The final minutes of the match witnessed the addition of a fourth goal by striker Issam Al-Sabhi in the 85th minute, benefiting from a cross pass inside the penalty area, thus sealing the Eagles' grip on the match completely.

As for Karbala Club, which is suffering this season from significant administrative and technical issues, it tried to reduce the deficit in stoppage time, and the foreign player Mohammed Watara managed to score a consolation goal in the 94th minute, but it was not enough to save the team's shaky image on the field.

The victory raised Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya's tally to 53 points in fifth place, giving coach Ali Abdul Jabbar a strong boost to continue building the team towards a stable conclusion to the season. Meanwhile, Karbala's tally remained at 22 points in nineteenth place, getting closer to the relegation zone, amid the immense pressures faced by coach Abbas Atiyah due to the team's contract restrictions imposed by FIFA.

This victory is expected to have a significant impact on restoring the confidence of the Eagles' fans in the team, especially since the brilliance shown by Mohammed Jawad could restore the attacking balance that Al-Jawiya has missed during many periods this season.
