Bayer Leverkusen is studying its options for the head coach position after the Spanish coach Xabi Alonso decided to leave to train Real Madrid in the upcoming phase.
According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Leverkusen is considering four options to replace Alonso, three of which are Spanish coaches.
The candidates mentioned by the newspaper include Álvaro Arbeloa, the youth coach of Real Madrid, Cesc Fabregas, the coach of Como in Italy, and Xavi Hernandez, the former coach of Barcelona.
The fourth name is Dutchman Erik ten Hag, the former head coach of Manchester United and Ajax Amsterdam.
