Sadiq Hanoun: What Qahtan Jathir Said Has Become a Reality and What Happened Against Al-Zawraa I Have Not Experienced in My Career

The assistant coach of the Diyala team, Sadiq Hanoun, expressed his dissatisfaction with some refereeing decisions during his team's match against Al-Zawraa, which ended in a devastating loss with a goal in the 97th minute, as part of the 32nd round of the Iraqi Stars League, confirming that his team suffered clear injustice in the decisive moments.

Hanoun recalled the controversial statement made by the coach of Nawruz, Qahtan Jathir, recently, when he called for the cancellation of the league and the holding of a playoff match between Al-Zawraa and Al-Shorta to determine the champion, considering that what happened to his team today against Al-Zawraa confirms the reality of this proposal, especially after an experience he described as the hardest in his coaching career.

Hanoun spoke about a controversial incident in the dying moments, when one of the Diyala players was elbowed by Al-Zawraa player Sajad Mohammed Fadel inside the penalty area, but the referee decided to continue the play without resorting to video technology or awarding a penalty that could have completely changed the course of the match.

Sadiq Hanoun also expressed his astonishment at the referee awarding 10 minutes of stoppage time, considering that this time gave an advantage to Al-Zawraa to apply late pressure and score the winning goal, pointing out that his team played with high spirit and was close to snatching a valuable point from a difficult stadium and in front of a large crowd.
