Surprises in the Shape of the Egyptian League in the New Season
Ahmed Shobair, the former Al Ahly star, talked about the relegation file in the Egyptian league for the new season and revealed many surprises.
Shobair said in radio statements: "The relegation file in the Egyptian league for the coming season is leaning towards having only one team relegated, meaning we had an exception for one team, now there are 2 exceptions and only one team will be relegated."
He continued: "There are disagreements within the association regarding some individuals, but it will continue to manage the competition in the upcoming season with some name changes, and it's confirmed that there will be changes."
He added: "Regarding foreign players, it has been agreed that the number of foreigners will remain as it is, not to exceed 5 players. There is also stability on the continuation of the current referees committee headed by Colombian Oscar Ruiz, and there is satisfaction with his performance."
He concluded: "Also, a source in the Football Association told me that the reserve league exists, and each team will have 3 players from the first team."
