Ahmed Atif Praises Karim Benzema
Ahmed Atif, the former star of Al-Shabab club, praised the French Karim Benzema, the star of Al-Ittihad, for his outstanding performance this season.
Al-Ittihad won yesterday, Wednesday, against Al-Nassr with a score of 3-2 in a match held as part of the 30th round of the Saudi League, and Benzema scored a goal for his team in the match.
Atif said in television statements: "Benzema faced a lot of criticism last season, but I was defending him because the group of players around him was not helping him."
He added: "This player can be the foundation of any team and any style of play, whether in offensive transitions or possession in high pressing or low pressing."
He concluded: "Benzema is the smartest striker in the Saudi league right now, he knows how to create space, how to manage the midfield system and the attacking situation of the team, and he controls the areas of creating danger."
